If you like to cheer, BSU is the right school. With a full year of intercollegiate sports, you'll have more than a few occasions to don your green Bemidji sweatshirt. Our football team enjoys a lakeside field where it isn't unheard of to punt field goals right into Lake Bemidji. BSU competes in NCAA Division II for:

The most winning team in Division I hockey
After 50 years, BSU's men's and women's hockey programs have built a pretty well-known reputation. In fact, no one has a better home record. Both teams play at the Sanford Center, a 4000-seat arena with 25 event suites and club seating.
BSU students don't just like to watch sports, we play. In fact, more than 80% of our students participate in some form of intramural sports. Offered through the Gillett Recreation & Fitness Center, the Intramural program includes:
