Online Application

Bemidji State University does prefer online applications.  To apply online, please follow the instructions below.

• Returning BSU students need not apply again.  Click here for more information.
• All on-line degree programs require the completion of MNTC (Minnesota Transfer Curriculum) or an AA degree.  For additional program information please contact the Center for Extended Learning.
• Do not use your back button on your web browser.
• To apply as a Special Undergraduate Student through the Center for Extended Learning, choose "off site" as your type of major, "undecided" as your area of study and "not seeking degree" as your intended degree. You will need to pay the $20 application fee to be admitted as a Special (non degree seeking) student.
• To apply for the RN to Baccalaureate (RN to BS) degree program, you must first apply to BSU.  When completing your online admissions information, select "Off Site" as the delivery method and "Nursing" as your intended major.  The Nursing Department will contact you for additional information needed for admission into the Nursing major.

• Post-secondary Enrollment Option Students are required to submit the following form immediately upon completion of the on-line application and mail to the Office of Admission, Bemidji State University, 1500 Birchmont Drive NE, Bemidji, MN 56601.
• MN State PSEO Notice of Student Registration
• Applicants who are under suspension or financial obligation at a previous institution are not eligible for regular or special admission.

Application Instructions    

1. Complete and submit the on-line application. As part of this process, please be sure to select a major. If you choose non-degree seeking as your major, you will not be eligible for financial aid. You can complete your application in any order and save your work and come back to it later, even from a different computer. Check your application over carefully before sending it.
• Please note that there may be additional admissions requirements for your intended major.
• Upon submission of your application, you will be informed of additional requirements needed to complete your admission. Be sure to fulfill these requirements in addition to submitting your application by the posted deadlines.
• Please note that you will receive an email notification with your student id number from the Admissions Office.
2. Pay the $20 application fee.
3. Send official high school and college transcripts to the Admissions Office.
4. Login to your account to check the status of your application. In addition, you will receive a letter from the Admission Office regarding the status of your on-line application.
