BEFORE you begin, please note the following:

All on-line degree programs require the completion of MNTC (Minnesota Transfer Curriculum) or an AA degree. For additional program information please contact the Center for Extended Learning.

To apply as a Special Undergraduate Student through the Center for Extended Learning, choose "off site" as your type of major, "undecided" as your area of study and "not seeking degree" as your intended degree. Starting Spring semester 2009, you will need to pay the $20 application fee to be admitted as a Special (non degree seeking) student.
To apply for the RN to Baccalaureate (RN to BS) degree program, you must first apply to BSU. When completing your online admissions information, select "Off Site" as the delivery method and "Nursing" as your intended major. The Nursing Department will contact you for additional information needed for admission into the Nursing major.
International students may not use this application, visit the International Admission Web Page for more information.

Post-secondary Enrollment Option Students are required to submit the following forms immediately upon completion of the on-line application and mail them to Office of Admission, Bemidji State University, 1500 Birchmont Drive NE, Bemidji, MN 56601.

Application Instructions

Create your MnSCU account:

Click the "Create an Account" button.
Click the "Create a MnSCU Account" button.
Enter your account information exactly as instructed on the Prospective MnSCU account form.
Save and print your user name and password for future reference when re-entering the system. You will receive an email confirmation.
Log into the MnSCU account with your username and password.

Complete and submit the on-line application. As part of this process, please be sure to select a major. If you choose non-degree seeking as your major, you will not be eligible for financial aid. You can complete your application in any order and save your work and come back to it later, even from a different computer. Check your application over carefully before sending it.

Please note that there may be additional admissions requirements for your intended major.
Upon submission of your application, you will be informed of additional requirements needed to complete your admission. Be sure to fulfill these requirements in addition to submitting your application by the posted deadlines.
Please note that you will receive an email notification with your student id number from the Admissions Office.

Pay the $20 application fee.
Send official high school and college transcripts to the Admissions Office.
Login to your account to check the status of your application. In addition, you will receive a letter from the Admission Office regarding the status of your on-line application.
