The Oshkaabewis Native Journal is a interdisciplinary forum for significant contributions to knowledge about the Ojibwe language. Contributions include monolingual and bilingual Ojibwe stories in the double vowel orthography, scholarly articles, and reviews of Ojibwe language material. The ONJ was first published in 1979. Publication schedule accelerated and the volume expanded in 1995 when Anton Treuer started as Editor. The ONJ is currently produced at a rate of two issues per year and audio material accompany all texts.
