The generosity of Bemidji State University alumnus (1936) Margaret H.

Harlow provides the Visual Arts Department with an impressive collection of

mostly contemporary ceramic vessels. Margaret's stated goal for her gift

was to provide the students of Bemidji State University hands-on

experience with ceramic art forms. Her interest in pottery is an extension

of her interest in geography, rocks and mountains with world wide travel

and frequent visits to conferences, museums and shows. She has chosen

artists' forms, illustrating various techniques and contributions to the

ceramic medium. Her generosity also provides for acquisition of student

accomplishments, maintaining the collection, and ceramic events for BSU

students.
