First pitch set for 1:30 p.m. Central time, April 28
BEMIDJI,
Minn. - Officials with the Bemidji State University
baseball program today announced that a scheduled non-conference
double-header against North Dakota on April 28 would be
relocated
and is now scheduled to be played in Bemidji.
The switch was
made in reciprocation for an earlier switch between the
teams, as an April 16 double-header between the
Beavers and Fighting Sioux was moved to Grand Forks due
to poor weather in the Bemidji area. Game 2 of that twinbill
was eventually cancelled by poor weather in Grand Forks,
N.D. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Central time
at the
BSU Baseball Field on the Bemidji State campus.
The switch
will mean BSU closes its 2003 regular season with a 12-game
homestand, the second longest in school
history.
The longest came in a 14-game stand to close the 1976
season.
Bemidji
State, which was officially eliminated from contention
for the 2003 NSIC Baseball Championship over the weekend,
stands
at 11-23 on the season and an even 9-9 in league play.
BSU has eight games scheduled during the week, the final
week of
its 2003 regular season. In addition to the home double-header
on Monday, April 27, the Beavers are slated to host St.
Cloud State for a non-conference twinbill on April 30 and
a four-game
NSIC series with Concordia-St. Paul on May 2-3. |
