The 2003 Bemidji State baseball team became
just the seventh in school history to win 10 conference games
in a single season, riding a career pitching effort from freshman
Scott Pugliese to win a 1-0 pitcher’s duel in Game 1 of
a double-header with the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears. But
a seventh-inning rally fell short in Game 2 as the Bears held
on to earn the split, 7-5.
