ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bemidji State senior Pitcher Chad
Schwegel (St. Joseph, Minn.) has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate
Conference (NSIC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week for effort
against the University of Minnesota, Crookston, the NSIC office
announced today.
In a three game series with the Golden Eagles, Schwegel pitched
a complete game victory in his last start of his career on

season. Schwegel is the first BSU player to grab NSIC honors
since April 25, 2005 when Tony Klaers (Elk River, Minn.) received
NSIC Player of the Week honors and it is the first time BSU
has garnered a NSIC Pitcher of the Week since May 5, 2003
when Scott Pugliese was named NSIC Co-Pitcher of the Week.
Bemidji State finished its 2007 baseball campaign last weekend
by sweeping the University of Minnesota, Crookston in a three
