Beavers trip to Kansas/Missouri cancelled

DATE: Feb. 27, 2008

Bemidji, Minn.
-- Bemidji State University baseball head coach Tim Bellew announced today that the Beavers games in Kansas and Missouri have been cancelled for this weekend due to poor field conditions.

The Beavers were scheduled to play Washburn University tomorrow afternoon (Feb. 28) in Topeka, Kan. and Truman State on Friday (Feb. 29) and Saturday (Mar. 1) in Kirksville, Mo. but because of snow covered fields and cold weather conditions the games have been cancelled.

Bemidji State will be back in action on Wednesday, March 5, when the Beavers will play a twin bill with the Augustana College Vikings at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. The first pitch for the double-header is set for 11:15 a.m.

Bemidji State University, located in Bemidji, Minn., is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
