Beavers home-opener with Concordia-St. Paul on hold
Possibility of Sunday/Monday series with Golden Bears in St. Paul

DATE: Mar. 28, 2008

BEMIDJI, Minn.
-- Bemidji State University baseball head coach Tim Bellew announced today that the Beavers home opener with Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe Concordia-St. Paul will not be played in Bemidji, Minn. due to poor field conditions at the BSU Baseball field.

There is a possibility that there could be a site swap between the two teams as BSU would go down to St. Paul, Minn. to play the Golden Bears at Bob Barnes Field in a pair of double-headers on Sunday and Monday. The official decision will be made tomorrow (Saturday, Mar. 28) at noon.

Last season the Beavers went 1-3 versus the Golden Bears, picking up a 4-2 win in Game two of the four game series.

Bemidji State is off to its best start since 2002 as the Beavers are 5-10-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Bemidji State University, located in Bemidji, Minn., is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
