Beavers nipped by St. Cloud State Huskies, 5-2
Stoloski and Huether hit back-to-back home runs

-- The Bemidji State University baseball team gave up five unanswered runs to the St. Cloud State Huskies in a 5-2 loss in its second game in Chandler, Ariz.

St. Cloud State scored one run in the first inning, three runs in the second and one run in the third to jump out to a 5-0 lead over BSU through three innings of play. The Beavers got on the board in the sixth inning as Anthony Stoloski (Sr., Half Moon Bay, Calif.) and Justin Huether (Jr., Brainerd, Minn.) hit back-to-back solo home runs to bring the Beavers to with in three runs, 5-2. Neither team was able to score in the final three innings and the Huskies were able to hold on to the win over the Beavers.

Kevin Morel (Jr., Shoreview, Minn.) saw his record move to 0-2 as he worked three innings allowing four runs (four earned). Randy Amos (Jr., Wilmington, N.C.) and Ryan Bohannan (Jr., Goodyear, Ariz.) made relief appearances. Amos allowed one run (one earned) in four innings of work while Bohannan pitched two scoreless innings.

With the loss the Beavers fall to 2-4 on the season and 30-98 all-time versus the Huskies.

The Beavers will continue play in Arizona tomorrow as they will play Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for the first time in history. The first pitch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Central Time.
