DATE: Apr. 7, 2008

BEMIDJI, Minn.
-- Bemidji State University baseball head coach Tim Bellew announced today that the Beavers non-conference doubleheader with Jamestown College that was scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, has been cancelled due to a snow covered BSU Baseball Field.

It is the second consecutive season that games with Jamestown College have been cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Last season the doubleheader was also cancelled due to a snow on the BSU Baseball Field.

Bemidji State (7-14-1; 5-5 NSIC) will have a 10-day hiatus prior to resuming play on April 15 when the Beavers travel to Grand Forks, N.D. for a non-conference tilt with the Fighting Sioux from North Dakota. The nine inning affair is slated to start at 2 p.m. from Kraft Field.

Bemidji State University, located in Bemidji, Minn., is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
