The Bemidji State baseball team will hold
the first ever Beaver Baseball Showcase Day on Saturday, October
6th, from the new and improved BSU baseball field.

Bemidji State University Director of Athletics
Dr. Rick Goeb has announced that for the first
time in school history, soccer, women’s hockey, baseball
and softball games will be broadcast on the Internet. A new
web site, called Listen To The Beavers Dot Com, has launched
for the fall season and it will be the Internet audio home of
the Beavers.

Three Bemidji State University baseball players
were today honored as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference
released its list of 2007 award-winners. First baseman Josh
Juntunen (So., Elk River, Minn.), catcher Anthony
Stoloski (Jr., Half Moon Bay, Calif.), and third baseman
Mike Wagner (Plymouth, N.H.) were each selected for
All-NSIC Second Team honors.

Bemidji
State senior Pitcher Chad Schwegel (St. Joseph, Minn.) has been
named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Baseball
Pitcher of the Week for effort against the University of Minnesota,
Crookston, the NSIC office announced today.

The Bemidji State University baseball team
finished up its 2007 season today as the Beavers played the
University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagles. The two teams
finished play from yesterday’s game that was postponed
due to rain in the third inning and followed that game with
a conference doubleheader. The games were scheduled to be played
in Crookston, Minn., but due to poor field conditions at the
Crookston baseball complex the games were moved to Bemidji,
Minn. BSU used thirteen homeruns to help them garner a three
game sweep over the Golden Eagles by scores of 24-7 in Game
1, 26-2 in Game 2, and 16-4 in Game 3.

| Bemidji State head baseball coach Tim Bellew
announced this morning that today's conference doubleheader
with the University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles has
changed sites. The games will be played at the BSU baseball
field in Bemidji, Minn., instead of over in Crookston, Minn.
due to poor field conditions at the Crookston baseball complex.
The two teams will will wrap up their postponed game from yesterday
and then follow that with a doubleheader. The games a scheduled
to start at 12:00 p.m. |
| Due to heavy rain showers in the Crookston
area, Bemidji State's scheduled baseball doubleheader with the
Minn.-Crookston Golden Eagles today was postponed. Bemidji State
held a 12-2 lead in the third inning of Game 1 when they decided
to postpone the remainder of the game due to the heavy rain
and poor field conditions. Bemidji State and Minn.-Crookston
are scheduled to pick up were they left off in Game 1 tomorrow
afternoon and then follow with a conference doubleheader. Because
of the poor field conditions the site for tomorrow's games are
still to be determined. |

announced that both games this weekend with the University of
Minnesota Crookston have been changed to a 1:00 p.m. start time.
The Beavers will wrap up it's 2007 season this weekend with
the conference double-header versus the Golden Eagles. |
The Wayne State College Wildcats swept the
weekend series with Bemidji State today taking the final two
games in doubleheader action at the BSU Baseball Field this
afternoon. Wayne State came back from a 4-0 deficit to take
Game 1, 5-4 and completed the weekend sweep with a 4-2 win in
Game 2.

The Wayne State College Wildcats took the
first two games of a four game series with the Bemidji State
Beavers this afternoon at the BSU Baseball Field. The Wildcats
were able to fend of a late inning rally by the Beavers in Game
1 to hold on to a 10-9 win in extra innings and then took the
nightcap, 16-1. Wayne State used six home runs on the day to
help them garner the two wins.

The Bemidji State baseball team dropped a
pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games
to the University of Mary Marauders today at the BSU baseball
field. The Marauders downed the Beavers 3-1 in Game 1 and then
scored seven unanswered runs in Game 2 to complete the sweep,
7-4.

The Bemidji State University baseball team
traveled to Grand Forks, N.D. today to play a nonconference
doubleheader against the University of North Dakota Fighting
Sioux. Bemidji State out hit the Sioux on the day 21-to-18 but
found themselves on the losing end dropping Game 1, 6-7 and
Game 2, 2-7.

The Southwest Minnesota State University
Mustangs completed a four-game weekend sweep over the Beavers
this afternoon at the BSU Baseball Field. In a pitcher’s
dual SMSU’s John Goneau outlasted Bemidji State pitcher
Chad Schwegel (St. Joseph, Minn.) to led the Mustangs to a 1-0
shutout win in Game 1, and then the Mustangs put up 15 runs
in Game 2 to take the night cap 15-3.

The Bemidji State University baseball team
dropped both games of a twinbill to the Southwest Minnesota
State University Mustangs today at the BSU Baseball Field. The
Mustangs scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning
to garner a 10-7 come from behind win in Game 1, and then shutdown
the Beavers offense in Game 2 to take the night cap 6-2.

Bemidji State’s Anthony Stoloski (Half
Moon Bay, Calif.) helped the Beavers garner a split with the
Upper Iowa University Peacocks this afternoon at the BSU Baseball
Field with his walk-off homerun in the bottom of the eight inning
of Game 1 to lift BSU to a 7-5 victory, the Beavers first win
ever over the Peacocks. Game 2 saw the Peacocks comeback from
a three run deficit in the top half of the seventh inning, scoring
five runs, to secure a 11-10 victory and salvage a split with
the Beavers.

The Bemidji State University baseball team
dropped a non-conference contest to the University of North
Dakota, 12-2, Monday at the BSU Baseball Field. Beaver batters
were held to just five hits over seven innings while the team
left a total of nine runners on base.

at the BSU Baseball Field this afternoon. Northern State scored
nine runs in the third and fourth inning combined to take Game
1, 11-4, and Bemidji State made a seventh inning comeback in
Game 2 to salvage a split winning 8-7.

in Winona, Minn. The Warriors scored four unanswered runs in
Game 1, then used a three-run third inning in Game 2 to complete

extra-inning win in Game 2.

opener today against the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. The March
27th game was the earliest home opener that has ever been played
in Bemidji State’s 55 year baseball era. The Bulldogs
played spoiler as they swept Bemidji State, capturing Game 1
by a score of 8-1, and capped the twin-bill with a 2-1 win in
Game 2.

second consecutive victory, Tuesday, riding a five-run second
inning and the strong arm of junior right-handed pitcher
Tony Meech (Menahga, Minn.) to a 12-4 victory over

Missouri Western State University in Akardelphia, Ark. The Beavers
were able to push the game winning run across in the fifteenth
inning to earn their first win of the season. |

Baptist Tigers completed a three-game sweep over the Bemidji
State Beaver with an 11-1 win. Tiger pitcher, Trent Lingle,
four hit gem to lift the Tigers over the Beavers today in Arkadelphia,
Ark.

the Beavers in a doubleheader this afternoon in Arkadelphia,

The Fort Hays State Tigers scored 10 runs

sweep of Bemidji State on Friday afternoon at Larks Park in
Hays, Kan. Fort Hays State captured Game 1 by a score of 13-8,
and capped the three-game series with a 5-4 win in Game 2.

Bemidji State traveled to Hays, Kan. to play
a nine inning contest against the Fort Hays State University
Tigers at Larks Park Thursday night. The Beavers took a 2-0
lead in the second inning but saw the Tigers score eleven unanswered
runs to take the first game of a three-game series, 11-2.

Nebraska Omaha jumped out to a 3-0 lead and
was able to hold off a Bemidji State comeback to earn a 3-2
win over the Beavers in Bemidji State’s third and final
game of the Holiday Inn Express Tournament in Warrensburg, Mo.
Bemidji State lost all three games that they played in Missouri,
seeing their record fall to 0-7 on the season.

first two games of the Central Missouri State Tournament in
Warrensbug, Mo., today as the Beavers fell to the Upper Iowa
Peacocks in its first game 22-9 and then dropped its second
contest of the day to #11 Central Missouri State, 8-0.

Bemidji State will get its 56th season of
baseball competition underway on Feb. 22, 2007 when the Beavers
travel south to tackle #25 Emporia State in a four-game non-conference
series. That series opens a 14 game road swing where the Beavers

with 10 unanswered runs over four innings in a 17-3 Game 1 victory,
then rallied from a 5-4 deficit heading into the bottom of the
third with 12 unanswered runs in the third and fourth innings
