In his first game back form injury, sophomore quarterback Cory Wardrope (Anchorage, Alaska) completed 16-of-25 pass attempts for 202 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in leading the Bemidji State University football team to a 47-21 victory over Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference foe Concordia University-St. Paul. FOX SportsNet North has announced that it will re-air the Bemidji State / Winona State NSIC football match-up Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 1:00 p.m. The game originally aired live on FSN North Saturday. Oct. 20th will be modified from its live broadcast to fit into a two-hour time slot. Bemidji State senior wide receiver Anthony Schreiber (Berkeley, Ill.) caught nine passes for a season-high 119 yards and a touchdown but it was not enough to keep pace with a potent Winona State University offense that piled up 470 yards to defeat the Beavers 35-24 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competition Saturday at Maxwell Field in Winona Minn.

A seven-yard touchdown pass from Silas Fluellen to Frederic Bruno capped a 10-play, 67-yard drive to give Wayne State College its first lead of the game at 24-21 with just 1:23 remaining in the game. Sophomore quarterback Cory Wardrope (Anchorage, Alaska) connected with Bemidji State University receivers 19 times for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Beavers cruised to a 27-3 win over Minnesota State University Moorhead Saturday at Chet Anderson Stadium.
