The victory gave BSU rights to the Battle Axe, one of the most tradition-rich traveling trophies in all of NCAA football, for a school-record eighth consecutive season.

Sept. 12, 2007 - FSN North to broadcast BSU football game Oct. 20th
When the Bemidji State football team travels to Winona State to battle Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rival Warriors this season, the teams will play for a live regional audience. NSIC Commissioner Butch Raymond announced today that Fox Sports Net North will air the game set for Saturday, October 20th at 3:30 p.m.

Anthony Schreiber (Sr, WR Berkeley, Ill) fielded a Minot State University punt on his own 25 yard line and took it the distance to get the Bemidji State University football team on the board just 2:26 into the game Saturday. The Beavers would not look back as they went on to gain a 31-7 victory in front of 955 faithful fans at Chet Anderson Stadium.

For the third time this preseason, the Bemidji State University football team has been voted into the top-25 of a national poll. Tuesday, the American Football Coaches' Association announced the rankings of its first poll of the 2007 Division II season and slotted the Beavers 19th.
