Bemidji, Minn. - In the second and final day at the Bemidji State Town & Country Club, the BSU White Team shaved eight strokes from its day-one tally to take eighth-place. Meanwhile, the BSU Green Team shot a 307 second-round for a 626 to finish 13th overall.

Leading the way for the Beavers was freshman Jacob Jorde (Bemidji, Minn.) as he shot a 147 (73-74) to tie for fourth overall. He was followed by sophomore Matt Gorden (77-71=148) (Detroit Lakes, Minn.), who tied for eighth and sophomore Toby Palmiscno (77-77=154) (Grand Forks, N.D.), who tied for 34th.

Sammy Schmitz (71-69=140) from the St. John’s Red Team took the individual crown. The top four golfers accounted for the team score.

The men’s squad will be busy next with four straight days of golf. First, BSU will travel to the Irv Kaiser Invite on Thursday and Friday. Then, the Beavers will be at the St. John’s Invite.
