Yesterday at the Wildflower Golf Course,
the Beavers tallied a second and final round of 318 for a two-day
total of 641 to take seventh among the 13 teams competing. BSU
finished ahead of all five NSIC teams: Northern State (8th),
Minnesota-Crookston (9th), Winona State (11th), Wayne State
(Neb.) (12th) and Minnesota-Morris (13th).

Bemidji State’s Marci Falldorf fired
a two-day 82-78=160 to finish first amongst individuals at the
Mustang Invitational, hosted by Southwest State at the Marshall
Golf Club. Falldorf’s performance helped the Beavers finish
second in the 14-team Invitational.

In the second and final day of competition,
the Bemidji State (I) squad shaved 18 strokes off from day one
to take seventh overall (319-301=620) at the Fighting Sioux
Men’s Golf Invitational. The Bemidji State (II) team was
just as impressive with a 314 today after carding a 328 yesterday
(642) to place 11th.

At Grand Forks Golf Course today, the Beavers
split their squad as Bemidji State (I) placed eighth and Bemidji
State (II) came in 11th in the Fighting Sioux Invitational.

At the St. John’s Invitational held
this past Saturday and Sunday, Bemidji State split its squad
to finish 12th (324-315=639) and 13th (334-323=657) overall
in the 19-team field. Day two saw both teams shave 11 strokes
from their team scores.

Bemidji State University womens golf
team finished third in the Bison/Dragon Invitational with a
score of 690. Concordia College won the competition finishing
with a final score of 667.

At Meadows Golf Club today, Bemidji State
University split its squad to tie for sixth and place 14th at
the two-day Irv Kaiser Invitational. Toby Palmiscno paced the
BSU effort, tying for 12th amongst individuals.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference
announced today that Bemidji State University women’s
golfer Dana Hasselberg has been selected as the Golfer of the
Week for Sept. 1-8.

day of the two-day Irv Kaiser Invitational.

The Bemidji State University women’s
golf team traveled to Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes,
Minn. for the Concordia College Invitational Sept. 7-8. In the
two-day event the BSU team finished in fourth place led by BSU
junior Dana Hasselberg who finished in second place and senior
Marci Falldorf was back just two spots in a tie for fourth place.

State Town & Country Club, the BSU White Team shaved eight
strokes from its day-one tally to take eighth-place. Meanwhile,
the BSU Green Team shot a 307 second-round for a 626 to finish
13th overall.

The Bemidji State University women’s
golf team traveled to Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes,
Minn. for the Cobber Open. This marked the first event for the
Beavers in 2002.

At The Meadows on Friday, BSU split its
squad as the BSU Green Team finished fifth and the BSU White
Team took tenth in the ten-team field. The NDSU Gold Team
placed first with 301 strokes, narrowly defeating the Manitoba
Black Team (302).

Bemidji State University director of athletics
Rick Goeb today announced the hiring of Annette Tingelstad as
the university’s head women’s golf coach. Tingelstad
will fill an adjunct coaching position for BSU, vacated by the
retiring Jim Mergens.
