MONTICELLO, Minn. - [results]
The Bemidji State University men's golf team battled harsh
weather conditions to card a 306-309=615 in the 36-hole St.
John's Spring Invitational Sunday finishing in a tie for eighth
place with St. Cloud State University. BSU's top individual,
Neil Rude (Fr., White Bear Lake, Minn.), tied for 25th place
shooting a two-round total of 75-77=152.
Gustavus Adolphus College totaled 292-287=579 to place its
Gold team in a tie for first place with the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Jon Hagedorn, from Gustavus Adolphus,
fired an event-low round of 67 to propel him to a 139 (-3)
to take a two-stroke win in the event.
Bemidji State will now prepare for Central/Great Lakes Super
Regional. The event will be held at St. Joseph Country Club
in St. Joseph, Mo. May 2-4. BSU is one of 16 teams to qualify
for super regional and is making its second consecutive appearance
in the event.
