MOORHEAD, Minn.
- Bemidji State University women's golf team traveled to Moorhead, Minn. and the Moorhead Country Club, Friday afternoon, to compete in the 18-hole Minnesota State University, Moorhead Invitational. Sophomore Jenna Schurman (Sauk Centre, Minn.) led all BSU golfers firing a 48-44=92 (+20) to finish in a tie for 12th place.

Two other BSU student-athletes also competed in the event. Jenny Wenlund (Jr., Elk River, Minn.) was six shots back 43-55=98 (+26) locked in a tie for 18th place while Kelsey Kaufman (Fr., Eau Claire, Wis.) completed her first event of the season in 30th place with a score of 52-56=108 (+36).

Southwest Minnesota State University's Erin Oakland took home top honors after carding a 37-41=78 (+6) to defeat her closest competitor by four strokes.

Concordia University-St. Paul garnered the team title totaling 343 (+55).

BSU did not record a team score due to lack of numbers. In order for a team to compete at least four scored must be turned in for each round.

The Beavers are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Grand Forks, N.D. to participate in the first of two rounds of the UND Invitational.
