Oct. 9, 2006 - BSU sits in sixth after 36 holes of NSIC Championship
Thirty-six holes into the 72-hole 2006-07 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn., the Bemidji State University women's golf team finds itself in sixth place. The team is led by Jenna Schurman (So., Sauk Centre, Minn.) who shot her way into a tie for 15th place during the first two rounds of competition.

Oct. 8, 2006 - Winona State holds off BSU for NSIC Championship
Despite shaving 23 strokes off its day one score, the Bemidji State men's golf team was not able to keep pace with Winona State Sunday at the 2006 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men's Golf Championships at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. The Warriors took an 18-shot lead into the final round of the tournament and would not back down carding an even par 288 on the final 18 holes to cruise to a 24-stoke advantage and its fourth consecutive conference championship.

Bemidji State University sophomore Michael Abrahamson (Duluth, Minn.) finished the 2006 Central Region Fall Invite alone atop the leaderboard while helping the Beavers to a nine-stroke team title. Abrahamson finished the 36-hole, two-day event at Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn. with a 69-72=141 (-3).

Oct. 1, 2006 - Schurman slides into seventh at UND Invite
Bemidji State University women's golfer Jenna Schurman (So., Sauk Centre, Minn.) fired an 80-81=161 to lock herself in a tie for seventh place Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the 36-hole University of North Dakota Invitational. The seventh place finish at King's Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks, N.D. stands as not only her best finish of the 2006 campaign but also of the sophomore's young collegiate career.

Sept. 16, 2006 - Beavers rebound with 290 on day two
After fighting windy conditions late in the day Friday, the Beavers came out on the second day of the Erv Kaiser Invitational in Fargo, N.D. to fire a team total of 290, led by Michael Abrahamson, Clint Cornell and Mitch Mackedanz who each recorded even 72, to slide up six places into fourth.

Neil Rude fired a three-over (37-38=75) Friday in the first round of the 2006 Erv Kaiser Invitational at Oxbow Golf Course in Fargo, N.D. to push the Bemidji State men's golf to to eighth place. Competition continues Saturday afternoon.

The Bemidji State men's golf team (579) took second place at the 2006 BSU Golf Invitational coming just one stroke short of the first place St. Johns red team (578). Clint Cornell (Grand Rapids, Minn.) fired a 71-68=139 (-5) paced the BSU squad taking second place Individually.

May 2, 2006 - BSU uses surge to take seventh at Super Regional
The Bemidji State men’s golf team saved its best for last carding a team total of 301 (+13) Wednesday to slide past Truman State and into seventh place at the NCAA Central/Great Lakes Super Regional at Prairie Bluff Golf Course in Lockport, Ill. Clint Cornell continued to be a bright spot for the Beavers firing a one-under-par 71 on day three to capture ninth place (75-75-71=220).

April 24, 2006 - BSU selected to participate in Super Regional
The Bemidji State University men's golf team has been selected to compete in the 2006 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Super Regionals, the NCAA today announced. BSU will participate in the Central/Great Lakes Super Regional scheduled for May 1-3 at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Crest Hill, Ill. The selection marks the third straight appearance for the BSU men's golf team in the event.

April 23, 2006 - Schurman finishes 38th at MWCGA Tournament
Bemidji State University freshman Jenna Schurman fired a 89-90=179 to finish 38th at the 36-hole Minnesota Women's Collegiate Golf Association Tournament April 22-23 at Pebble Creek Golf Curse in Becker, Minn. Jenny Wenlund and Abby Thatcher also participated as individuals for BSU taking 54th and 56th place respectively.
