BSU women in eighth after first round of Augustana Invitational
Schurman paces Beavers with 85 (+13)

(Prairie Green Golf Course) -- The Bemidji State University women's golf team is in eighth place after one round of the 2007 Augustana Invitational. The Beavers carded a first round 399 and trail tournament leader University of Nebraska at Omaha which fired a 308 (+20). The second round is tomorrow at the par 72, 5,830-yard Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D

BSU was led by sophomore Jenna Schurman (Sauk Centre, Minn.) who tied for 32nd place with a 42-43--85 (+13). Junior two-sport athlete Jenny Wenlund (Elk River, Minn.) shot a 52-48--100 to finish tied for 52nd. Newcomers Kayla Braaten (Fr., Mayville, N.D.) and Kelsey Kaufman (Fr., Eau Claire, Wis.) finished 54th and 56th respectively.
