AMANA, Iowa -- Mitchell Mackedanz (Jr., Paynesville, Minn.) and Jim Foss (Fr., Roseau, Minn.) led the Bemidji State University men's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Peacock Invitational in Amana, Iowa. The duo of Mackedanz and Foss fired matching 40-36--76 totals to tie for fourth place individually.

The Beavers carded an 18-hole total of carded a 319 (+31)to slide into the fifth spot. BSU was 13 strokes off the pace set by St. CLoud State University (306/+18). After second-place Minnesota State University, Mankato (312/+24), just two shots separated third, fourth and fifth places. Winona State University posted a team total of 317 to take third while hosting Upper Iowa University totaled 318 to edge the Beavers for fourth place.

Individually, St. Cloud State's Travis Ross took medallist honors finishing with a one-under-par 36-35--71.

Bemidji State returns to action April 14-15 when they travel to The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minn. for the Concordia University Invitational.
