LAKE CITY, Minn. (The Jewel Golf Club) -- Bemidji State University senior Clint Cornell (Grand Rapids, Minn.) carded a 71 (E) to tie with two others for fourth place individually Monday and guide the Beavers to a three-way tie for second place in at the Golden Bear Invitational with a +14, 298.

Cornell's even par was three strokes off the pace set by Upper iowa University's Mat Dahlke who earned medallist honors with an 18-hole total of 68 (-3). In addition to Cornell, BSU's Josh Dale (Pequot Lakes, Minn.) also made an appearance in the top 10 posting a 74 (+3) to match five others for 10th place.

The Beavers team total of 298 (+14) matched event totals of Minnesota State University and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference foe Winona State University for second place at the invite. The trio was 10 shots back from Upper Iowa which took the team title with a 288 (+4).

Bemidji State returns to action today when it competes at the 18-hole Concordia University Invitational at the same Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minn.
