ST. PAUL, Minn. --Bemidji State University freshman golfer Chris Curb (Bemidji, Minn.) has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Men’s Co-Golfer of the Week for his performance in the Concordia and BSU Invitationals.
Curb posted four consecutive rounds under par to open his collegiate career. He captured medallist honors at the Concordia Invitational Sept. 11-12 carding a 68-69--137 (-7). He followed that by carding scores of 70-71--141 (-3) to finish in fourth-place finish at the BSU Invitational. In both events, his efforts helped power the Bemidji State men's golf squad to team titles.
The honor is the first of its kind for Curb and marks the first golfer of the week hailing from Bemidji State in 2009-10.
Curb and the rest of the Bemidji State men’s golf team look to make it three tournament wins in a row this weekend as they travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to participate in the SCSU Invitational. Play begins Saturday at St. Cloud Country Club.
