Bemidji State women open season at the Cobber Open
Mackedanz paces Beavers; BSU takes seventh

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (Wildflower Golf Club) -- Bemidji State University junior Marissa Mackedanz (Paynesville, Minn.) carded an 42-43--85 (+13) to finish tied for 14th place to open the 2009 fall season at the Cobber Open today. The event took place at the 5,824-yard Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes, Minn.

As a team, Bemidji State finished the event with an 18-hole team total of 368 (+80) which placed its seventh.

North Dakota State University earned the team title firing a 317 (+29) in the nine-team event led by Amy Anderson who claimed medalist honors with a one-under-par 71.

The Beavers return to action tomorrow when they participate in the Concordia Invitational also held at Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
