Quickly: Solid freshman campaign saw Huddy produce in the middle of the line chart... Also saw some action at center early in the season... Should be a fixture at the wing positions on BSU’s second and third lines in 2003-

2002-03 (Fr): In all games: 9th in CHA in rookie scoring (5-6=11)... In CHA games only: t-7th in CHA in rookie scoring (4-4=8).
First assist on BSU’s lone goal vs Sacred Heart (10/18/02); first collegiate point... Scored first career goal vs Union College (10/25/02); two shots on net... 1-1=2 points in series; scored first goal in BSU’s 2-2 tie (11/9/02)... Earned CHA Rookie of the Week honors for 11/18/02 after scoring game-winning, overtime goal in BSU’s 2-1 win over Wayne State (11/16/02); win completed series sweep for BSU; first career game-winning goal... Assist, five shots on net in Clarkson series (11/22-23/02); assist in Game 2... Three shots on net vs Air Force (1/24); most since four shots vs Wayne State (11/16/02)... Assist at Ala.-Huntsville (1/17/03) snapped six-game scoreless streak... Earned second CHA Rookie of the Week award for play during Findlay series (1/31-2/1); one goal in each game, first back-to-back games with a goal this season... Missed Neb.-Omaha series (2/14-15/03) with an injury... Assist in Game 1 of Ala.-Huntsville series (2/21/03)... Assist at Air Force (3/7/03).

Prior to BSU: Scored 46-38=84 points in 61 games with the Olds Grizzlies in 2001-02... Two hat tricks... 11-8=19 points in 44 regular-season games in 2000-01... Was on the AJHL 2002 Top Prospects team.

Personal: Born Sep. 28, 1983... Son of Charlie and Karen Huddy... Charlie Huddy was a 17-year NHL veteran, playing for the Edmonton Oilers (1981-91), Los Angeles Kings (1991-95), Buffalo Sabres (1994-96, 1997) and St. Louis Blues (1995-96)... Charlie Huddy played 1,017 NHL games and scored 99-354=453 career points, including 19-66=85 points in 183 career NHL playoff games... He was a member of all five of Edmonton’s Stanley Cup champions, is ninth on Edmonton’s all-time scoring list and is currently an assistant coach with the Oilers... Ryan Huddy is undecided on a major.
