Career Notes: Eighth all-time at BSU with 4,712 minutes played... One of just nine goaltenders to play 4,000 minutes... Hunt should move into fourth place in his second start of 2003-04... Robin Cook (1992-’96) is currently in fourth place with 4,823 minutes; Hunt needs 113 minutes to move past Cook... On pace to become BSU’s all-time leader in minutes played in goal (5,828, Steve O’Shea, 1985-’89)... Also should become BSU’s career saves leader in 2003-04; needs 830 saves to move past O’Shea (3,065).

Quickly: Emerged last year as perhaps one of the nation’s elite goaltenders... First BSU player to make it past initial stages of Hobey Baker Award balloting in Division I era... Has allowed three or fewer goals in 46 of 76 career starts.

2002-03 (Jr): All games: Led CHA, 11th in the nation in goals-against average (2.36); 2nd in CHA, 12th in the nation in save percentage (.916); 2nd in CHA, 30th in the nation in winning percentage (13-10-5, .554)... CHA games only: 2nd in CHA in goals-against average (2.27), 4th in save percentage (.918).
In all games, helped BSU lead the CHA and rank t-16th in the nation in scoring defense (2.72). In CHA games only, BSU lead the league in scoring defense (2.30) and fewest goals allowed (46).
• Hunt’s goals-against average (2.36) was the best by a BSU goaltender since Galen Nagel posted a 1.89 GAA in 1983-’84.
• Hunt’s save percentage (.916) was the best by a BSU goalie in more than 30 years, since Blane Comstock in 1970-’71 (.919).
• Behind Hunt’s play, BSU’s team GAA of 2.63 was the lowest by a BSU team since 1983-’84 (2.290)... BSU allowed the fewest goals in the CHA (98 in 36 games).
• Hunt held opponents to one goal or less 10 times in 28 starts (.357).
• BSU single-season record five ties.
• BSU Division I-era record 72:30 in net in CHA Tournament semifinal win over Alabama-Huntsville (3/15/03).
• Went 5-1-1 in last seven starts; allowed only nine goals, .951 save pct, 1.23 goals-against average during streak... Only loss came to Wayne State in championship game of CHA Tournament (3/16/03).
• Unbeaten (5-0-2) in first seven starts; 1.10 GAA, .965 save pct during streak... Career-long seven-game unbeaten streak, career-long four-game winning streak... Allowed just eight total goals, and only five at even-strength, during streak.
Played 65:00, allowed only one goal on a second-chance rebound, in 1-1 draw with Sacred Heart (10/18/02); saved 32 of 33 shots faced (.970).... DNP vs Sacred Heart (10/19/02); snapped streak of 13 consecutive starts and 20 consecutive appearances... Sat out five games with a groin injury from 10/19/02 vs Sacred Heart to 11/2/02 at MSU-Mankato; Hunt had never gone more than two games without an appearance in net.
Earned eighth career CHA Defensive Player of the Week award for effort in BSU’s road series at Findlay (11/8-9/02); allowed three goals with 64 saves in series (.955), and saved 19 of 20 shots faced with Findlay on the power play... 24 saves, one goal allowed in Game 1 win; 39 saves, two goals allowed in Game 2 draw.
Earned second consecutive CHA Defensive Player of the Week award, ninth of career, after dominating defending CHA champion Wayne State (11/15-16/02); held the Warriors to just one goal, saved 63 of 64 shots faced for the series (.984)... Shut out Warriors with a 28-save effort in Game 1; 2nd career shutout and BSU’s 1st shutout of a CHA foe since 10/16/1999 against Army (W, 3-0)... Had a 35-save effort in BSU’s 2-1 Game 2 overtime win... Held Wayne State to 0-for-11 on the power play for the series, including 0-for-7 in Game 2.
Saved 31 of 33 shots faced in BSU’s 3-2 overtime win at Minn.-Duluth (12/6/02); third consecutive 30-save effort tied career-long streak... Chased after allowing five goals in 30:22 in BSU’s loss to Minn.-Duluth (12/7/02; loss snapped career-long seven-start unbeaten streak and four-game winning streak... Allowed nine goals on 56 shots (.839) in tough series at Wayne State (2/7-8/03); took loss in both games to snap personal four-game unbeaten streak... Posted third career shutout at Air Force (3/7/03); 31 saves, including 16 in second period alone... Victory was 25th career win, 20th career win vs CHA foes... Eighth 30-save game this season... Improved to 5-2-2 all-time against Air Force; 5-0-1 in last six starts vs Falcons... Posted fourth career shutout, school-record third consecutive team shutout, with 29-save effort vs Findlay in CHA Tournament (3/14/03).
Held Ala.-Huntsville to one goal in BSU Division I-era record 72:30 of net time in CHA Tournament semifinals (3/15/03)... Single goal snapped BSU’s school-record streaks of consecutive scoreless minutes at 274:16 and consecutive scoreless periods at 13... It was the first goal allowed by Hunt in 214:16; he recorded 99 consecutive saves during the streak... Saved 12 of 15 shots faced in 3-2 loss to Wayne State in CHA Championship game (3/16/03)... First game allowing more than two goals since 2/21/03 vs Ala.-Huntsville (5).

2001-02 (So): Started 28 games in goal... Was BSU’s Game 1 starter in all but one series (Dannie Morgan started Game 1 at Ferris State, 1/25/02)... Started all but two games after 11/30 at Wayne State (Mich.).
Went 0-6-2 in last eight starts... Lost both games of Niagara series (2/14-15/02) by a combined three goals - 4-3 and 3-1... Third goal in 2/15/02 loss came against an open net... Hunt’s eight consecutive starts without a win was his longest streak of the season (previous:4 (0-3-1), 12/1/02 at Wayne State to 12/15/02 at then-No. 1 St. Cloud State) and longest such streak since a 14-game winless streak from 12/2/00 vs Colorado College to 2/2/01 vs Ala.-Huntsville... Gave up four or more goals in each of last five appearances this season; longest such streak of his career.
6-1-2 record over nine decisions, including a six-start unbeaten streak(5-0-1), from 1/11/02 vs Findlay to 2/8/02 vs Air Force...During the streak, Hunt won at Air Force (1/19/02) to give BSU a share of the CHA lead, won at Ferris State (1/25/02) to give BSU its first-ever win over a CCHA team since joining Division I, and posted two wins against Niagara (2/1-2/02) when both teams were tied for first place in the CHA standings.
0-5-1 record in last three CHA weekend series - vs Niagara (2/14-15/02), Wayne State (2/22-23/02) and Ala.-Huntsville (3/8-9/02) - snapped a simply dominant streak against CHA foes... Started season 8-0-3 against CHA opposition and in 15 starts against league foes (dating back to 2000-01) was 10-1-4 vs the CHA... In conference-only games, Hunt still finished second in the CHA in goals against average(2.92) and third in save percentage(.903) and winning percentage(.588).
Helped BSU finish second in the CHA (league games only) in scoring defense (3.21) and second in fewest goals allowed(61).
Beat MSU-Mankato 7-6 in season opener (10/12/01) to earn BSU’s first win over a WCHA foe since joining the Division Iranks in 1998-99... Went 4-1-0 in a six-appearance stretch from 10/26/01 vs Connecticut to 11/30/01 at Wayne State... Won three CHA games during that streak, saving 17 shots at Findlay (11/9/01), 34 shots against Ala.-Huntsville(11/16/01) and 20 shots at Wayne State (11/30/01).
Allowed just one goal (8 saves) in 30:06 of relief work against Ala.-Huntsville (11/17/01); second-longest relief appearance of career behind only a 39:13 appearance against Findlay (11/18/00)... CHA Defensive Player of the Week for performance in Huntsville series.
Started both games at Wayne State(11/30-12/1/01), went 1-0-1 with 62 saves and allowed just three goals (.954 save percentage) to earn second CHA Defensive Player of the Week award.
Four-game winless streak (0-3-1) from 12/1/01 tie at Wayne State (Mich.) to 12/15/01 loss at then-No. 1 St. Cloud State... Lasted just 21:58 start at St. Cloud State, allowed five goals; shortest outing in a start since lasting just 5:41 against Findlay (11/17/00).
Started both games of home Findlay series (1/11-12/02); saved 69 of 74 shots (.932) to earn a win and a tie. Earned second consecutive CHA Defensive Player of the Week honor(fourth of the season), saving 33 shots at then-No. 1 Denver and 29 shots in BSU’s 4-2 win at Air Force(1/18-19/02).Hunt saved 13 of 14 shots faced in the third period at Air Force as BSU won a critical four-point league game and took over a share of the CHA lead.
Allowed Air Force just three goals in 125:00, earning a win and a tie in Bemidji (2/8-9/02)... One goal allowed, 19 saves in 5-1 Game 1 win; two goals allowed, 24 saves including several spectacular stops in the final seconds to help preserve 2-2 Game 2 tie... Lost both games of Niagara series(2/14-15/02) by a combined three goals - lost 4-3 in Game 1 and 3-1 in Game 2, although third goal in 2/15 loss came on an open net.
First career shutout vs Connecticut (10/26/01); 13 saves.

2000-01 (Fr): Appeared in 25 games for the Beavers, including 24 starts... Recorded a 3-19-3 record on the season... 3.05 GAA vs CHA foes eighth in the league... .901 save percentage vs CHA foes fourth in the league... Was 2-2-1 and allowed only 11 goals in his last five starts (2.18 GAA)... Five of the 11 goals came in one game vs eventual national runner-up North Dakota (3/2/01)... Earned three CHA Defensive Player of the Week awards... Only Air Force goalie and CHA Player of the Year Marc Kielkucki (4) and Niagara’s Rob Bonk (4) earned more... One goal against, 23 saves, one assist in first career victory vs Wayne State (11/25/00)... Two goals against, 33 saves in tie vs Union College (12/30/00)... One goal against, 41 saves in tie vs Niagara (2/10/01)... One goal against, 37 saves in win vs Wayne State (2/23/01).

Prior to BSU: Helped lead Fernie Ghostriders of AWHL to 31 consecutive wins... Named AWHL second-team All-Star and helped Fernie to a Borne Cup victory... RMJHL league MVP.
