Prior to BSU: Earned five varsity letters at Mora High in
hockey (3) and football (2)... Was HM all-conference in football
as a senior and led Mora to the Class A state title... In
hockey, led Mora to section titles and state tournament berths
in 1995-96 and 1996-97... Team captain as a senior and HM
all-conference as both a junior and senior... Played junior
hockey for the Fargo Icesharks and Twin Cities Vulcans, where
he captained the 1999-00 squad to a national championship.
