Quickly: Combo player with skills in both zones, but will play primariliy on defense for the Beavers...

Prior to BSU: Joins the Beavers after a two-year career with the United States Hockey League’s Tri-City Storm... Tied for third on team (first amongst defensemen) with 9-28=37 points... Second on team with 28 assists... Seven power-play goals, one game-winner... In 2001-02, finished amongst the Storm’s top 10 in scoring; was second amongst defensemen with 8-15=23 points; tied for the team lead with four game-winning goals.
Will bring a Minnesota hockey bloodline to BSU, having helped lead Elk River (Minn.) High School to the 2001 Class AA State Championship... Scored four points in the state tournament, including a 1-2=3 point effort in Elk River’s 4-3 semifinal win over Hastings... Earned All-Tournament Team honors for his efforts... Also represented Team Minnesota at the National Chicago High School Hockey Tournament... Earned Third-Team All-Metro and Honorable-Mention All-State honors; also a three-time letterwinner and honorable-mention All-Conference pick in soccer.

Personal: Chris Nathe... Born Oct. 21, 1982... Son of Ron and Julie Nathe... Undecided on a major... Uncle Joe Nathe played for BSU from 1972-75; scored 21-25=46 points in 69 career games played for the Beavers.
