Prior to BSU: Was the top-scoring defenseman in Ontario’s Central Junior A Hockey League in 2001-02, tallying 15-42=57 points in 63 games... Earned Best Defenseman on Team and Player of the Week awards for the Pembroke Lumber Kings, and was a CJHL All-Star and a member of the CJHL All-League Team.
