Bemidji State 2, Wayne State 1 (OT)
• With tonight’s victory, Bemidji State improved
to 7-2-3 all-time against Wayne State; BSU’s seven regular-season
CHA wins over Wayne State is tied for most against a single
CHA foe (Findlay)
• BSU improved to 25-27-9 (.484) all-time in College
Hockey America play.
• Bemidji State’s win was the team’s first
overtime victory since March 12, 2000 against Air Force. Daryl
Bat scored the OT game-winner in that contest.
• Bemidji State swept a CHA series at home for the
first time since Feb. 1-2, 2002 against Niagara (W, 7-4; W,
3-2).
• Wayne State went 0-for-7 on the power-play tonight
and falls to 3-for-66 all-time against Bemidji State with
the man advantage. BSU has killed off 21 consecutive penalties
in the series dating back to Dec. 1, 2001.
• Wing Marty Goulet’s power-play goal in the
first period was his second power-play goal of the season
(10/26 vs Union College) and the 14th of his career. It was
also Goulet’s first career first goal.
• Forward Bill Methven’s scoring streak ended
at four games.
• Forward Myles Kuharski ran his scoring streak to
five games with an assist on BSU’s game-winning goal.
The five-game scoring streak is a season high for a BSU player.
• Center Riley Riddell’s assist on BSU’s
game-winning goal snapped his career-long five-game scoreless
streak.
• Center Andrew Murray has scored in six of BSU’s
10 games this year (assist tonight) and has yet to go back-to-back
games without a point this year. |
