Bemidji State posts 2-1 road win at Clarkson

Nov. 22, 2002
POST-GAME NOTES

• BSU improved to 2-1-2 in five road games this year and picks up its first non-conference road win of the year. BSU did not pick up its first non-conference road win last year until Jan. 26, 2002 at Ferris State (W, 7-5). It is just the team’s second non-conference road win since joining the Division I ranks in 1999-2000.

• BSU improved to 3-3-3 all-time against current members of the ECAC and tallied its first win against the league since completing a sweep of Princeton, 2-1, on Dec. 11, 1999.

• After scoring just 1-1=2 points in BSU’s first nine games, Riley Riddell’s assist gave him a two-game scoring streak (0-2=2).

• Marty Goulet’s power-play goal was the 15th of his career. He is now tied for the team scoring lead with 4-3=7 points.

• Anders Olsson scored the game’s first goal for the first time in his career.

• BSU averaged 2.75 goals per game in its first four games this season but went 0-1-3 in those games. In the team’s last seven games, the Beavers have averaged just 1.43 goals per game but have posted a record of 4-1-2.

• BSU has allowed more than two goals in a game just three times this season and over the last five games has surrendered just five goals.
