Apr. 16, 2008 - Bowen inks three for 2008-09 Men’s Basketball season
Bemidji State University men’s basketball coach Matt Bowen has announced the signing of three Minnesota High School standouts to National Letters of Intent to play for the Beavers for the 2008-09 season. Joining BSU are Jake Lindstrom, a 6-0 shooting guard (Park HS), Taylor Hall, a 6-6 inside-out player (Spring Lake Park HS) and Bryce Tesdahl a 6-4 slashing guard (Crosby-Ironton HS).

The Upper Iowa University Peacocks spoiled Bemidji State University’s senior night as they came away with a 64-50 win at the BSU Gymnasium Saturday night.

Feb. 22, 2008 - Fairbanks on fire

The Bemidji State University Beavers Brady Fairbanks (Fr., G/F, Bena, Minn.) scored a game high 16 on 6-of-12 shooting and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in the Beavers 72-47 setback at the hands of No. 3 in the nation the Winona State University Warriors at the BSU Gymnasium.

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team got 16 points and five rebounds from freshman forward Patrick Cassidy (St. Paul, Minn.) which tied a career-best, but it would not be enough as the No. 5 Northern State University Wolves shot 51-percent from the floor (31-60) en route to a 79-55 victory in their 70th meeting versus the Beavers Friday evening at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen, S.D.

Bemidji State University men’s basketball perimeter tandem of Arron Evans (Sr., G, Minneapolis, Minn.) and Seth Haake (So., G, Eden Prairie, Minn.) combined for 32 points on 5-of-7 from three-point land, but it was not enough as the University of Mary Marauders outlasted the Beavers, 79-68, in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Friday at the Activity Center in Bismarck, N.D.

Feb. 13, 2008 - Beavers pack bags for final road weekend of season
The Bemidji State University men's basketball team will hit the road for one final road weekend of the regular season as the Beavers will make the trek west for a weekend in the Dakota's. BSU will first hit North Dakota as they will be in Bismarck, N.D. on Friday, Feb. 15, for arguably its biggest game of the season versus the University of Mary Marauders. Saturday, the Beavers will be in South Dakota to take on the No. 5 Northern State Wolves in Aberdeen, S.D. Game times are set for 8:00 p.m.

Feb. 10, 2008 - Bemidji State falls 68-65 to Minnesota, Crookston
The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team came up short to the University of Minnesota, Crookston Saturday dropping a hard-fought Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference loss, 68-65, at Lysaker Gymnasium. The Beavers shot 53 percent from the field in the game while the Golden Eagles shot just 39 percent but it was not enough as the Golden Eagles were able to snap a nine game skid to Bemidji State.

The Bemidji State University men's basketball team will be looking for a season series sweep this weekend when they travel to Crookston, Minn. to take on the Golden Eagles from Minnesota, Crookston. The Beavers are coming off a 1-1 weekend in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play last weekend, which moved them into a tie for the eighth and final spot for a NSIC playoff berth. The Bemidji State University men's basketball team will look to gain momentum in conference play this week as the Beavers will travel south for a pair of NSIC games versus Upper Iowa University and Winona State University. Jan. 2, 2008 - Beavers snap losing skid with win over Dickinson State

Bemidji State University sophomore center Sergej Baskow (Ludwigsburg, Germany) tied a career-high scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from the line as BSU beat the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks, 75-53 in the first ever meeting between the teams.

Jan. 1, 2008 - Beavers prepare for four game home stand
The Bemidji State men's basketball team returns home for a four game home stand this week after a four game road swing. The Beavers will open up their home stand with the Dickinson State Blue Hawks on Wednesday, Jan. 2 in the first ever meeting between the two teams. BSU will then host the Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagles in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) tilt on Saturday, Jan. 5. Wednesday evening's game is set for a 7:00 p.m. start and Saturday night contest is slated for a 8:00 p.m. tipoff from the BSU Gymnasium.

Dec. 29, 2007 - Cold night for Beavers at the Target Center
The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team traveled to Minneapolis, Minn. to take on the North Dakota Fighting Sioux at the friendly confines of the Target Center. A freezing shooting display of 32 percent by the Beavers allowed the Fighting Sioux to extend its win streak to a season long ten games with the 70-52 win.

The Bemidji State University men's basketball team will play three games during Thanksgiving week. The Beavers will open the week with a non-conference tilt versus the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs for the Beavers home opener on Nov. 20 at 7:00 p.m. from the BSU Gymnasium. The Beavers will then travel to Menomonie, Wis. to take part in the UW-Stout Tournament on Nov. 24-25. The Beavers will play the University of Puget Sound in the first round of the tournament on Nov. 24 at 4:00 p.m. and their second opponent is yet to be determined.

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team fell to the University of Nebraska-Omaha, 86-71 in the final game of the American Family Insurance Hoopster Classic from Hallenbeck Hall on the campus of St. Cloud State University on Saturday evening. The meeting between the two teams was just the second meeting in BSU history.
