BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University men’s basketball coaching staff has announced that the BSU men’s basketball program will facilitate three boy’s basketball camps this summer. The Shooting and Scoring Camps, taking place on June 9, June 11, July 14, and July 16, is open to players entering grades 3-12 while the Boys’ Day Camp will take place from August 4-6 and is open to players entering grades 1-12.
The emphases of the shooting and scoring camp will include: individual breakdown of the shot, footwork/shot preparation, ball handling, moves with the ball, getting open to score and free-throws. The boys’ day camp will focus more on fundamentals of the game, shooting and offensive moves, defensive footwork and skills, team concepts, contests and five-on-five games.
The Shooting and Scoring Camps are single day camps that will take place on June 9, June 11, July 14, and July 16 with players entering grades 3-12 hitting the court from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The Boys’ Day Camp runs from August 4-6 with players entering grades 1-6 taking the court from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and players entering grades 7-12 going from 1-4 p.m.
