Bemidji State (2008-09): Played in all 27 games, starting five, while averaging 23.7 minutes per game…Averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game…Posted two 20-plus point performances, including a career-high 26 in the 126-124 four overtime loss to Minnesota Duluth, Feb. 25… Posted a career-high 11 field goals made twice during the season, against UMD and Augustana College Jan. 2, the mark was a team-high for the season…Owned a .465 shooting percentage.

Bemidji State (2007-08): Was one of two Beaver players to play in all 27 contest last season while starting 21 games, which was most among his teammates...had six double-digit scoring performances including a career-high 16 point performance twice during his freshman campaign...led the Beavers in scoring twice and on the boards six times including a career-high 13 rebounds versus Minnesota, Crookston (1/5/08)...was second in scoring among freshman at 6.0 points per game and second in rebounds among his teammates with 4.8 boards per game...was third among his teammates shooting .463 (63-136) from the field and second in free throw percentage .735 (36-49)...posted one of BSU’s four double-double performances last season netting 14 points and pulling down 13 boards against Minnesota, Crookston (1/5/08).

St. Bernard’s High School:
Cassidy averaged 13 points per game for the Bulldogs as a senior en route to All-Tri Metro Conference and All-State Honorable Mention honors...the three-year starter helped his team to 30-1 overall record and a trip to the Minnesota State High School Tournament...The Bulldogs rattled off 30 consecutive victories and were ranked No. 1 in class “A” headed into the tournament but bowed out to Ellsworth, the eventual state champion, in the semifinal round...A three-sport athlete for the Bulldogs he was a four-time letter winner on the grid iron and earned a pair of varsity letters in track and field...Cassidy also excelled in the classroom as he was a member of the National Honor Society, was a consistent member of the “B” honor roll, recieved an Academic Letter, and was the Physical Education award recipient.

Personal: Born May 23, 1989 in St. Paul, Minn....he is the son of Edward and Jennifer Cassidy....he will be majoring in exercise science at BSU...following the footsteps of his parents who were both college athletes, his mom was a member of the St. Thomas softball team and his dad played basketball at Hamline University.
