BSU SOCCER HALL OF FAME CRITERIA
1. The nominated player must be 5 years removed from the program.
2. The nominated player must receive at least 75% yes votes from alumni who choose to vote.
3. Any alumni, coach or former coach can nominate an alumnus along with a brief explanation (a paragraph or two) of why they are hall of fame worthy.* It is possible that the hall nominee not be a former player. It could be someone who has just done a lot for the program.
4. Voting and nominations will all be done through email. Votes can be emailed to jstone@bemidjistate.edu.
5. Nominations should happen in the spring or summer. Up to 5 people can be nominated during one summer and up to 5 people can be inducted into the hall of fame each year.
6. A player can be nominated as many times as it takes to get in. So it is possible that someone may be nominated 15 times (15 years in a row) before they get voted in. Unlikely, but possible.
7. A successful vote will see that alumnus inducted into the Bemidji State soccer Hall of Fame at our annual banquet!
* Hall of Fame nominations should be based on two criteria; 1. On-the-field accomplishments, and 2. Off-the-field accomplishments / outstanding service to the program.
Message from coach Jim Stone
The Hall of Fame is meant to bring us closer together as a Beaver soccer family and not to cause any rifts. It is a good excuse to remember “the good old days” and to remember special accomplishments from former teammates. EVERY one of you has been so important to our program’s success and growth over the years. Like everything in our program I want you to feel like it is yours.
