Nov. 3, 2002 - BSU Ends Season with a 4-1 loss to North Dakota State
The Bemidji State University soccer team traveled to Fargo, N.D. today for a non-conference match-up with North Dakota State University. The Beaver’s Lindsey Natwick found the net, but the Bison would be too much as they added four goals of their own to beat BSU 4-1.

Nov. 2, 2002 - BSU Drops 5-0 Game to University of North Dakota

Oct. 29, 2002 - Dalka Selected as NSIC Player of the Week
For the second time this season the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that BSU junior goaltender Niki Dalka (Rhinelander, Wis.) has been named Defensive Player of the Week.

Oct. 27, 2002 - BSU Falls to Winona State 2-0 in Final NSIC Match of the Season
The Winona State University women’s soccer team showed Bemidji State why they are the second ranked team in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this season. Today they shut the Beavers out 2-0 for their sixth NSIC victory of the season.

Oct. 26, 2002 - BSU Captures First NSIC Win of Season With 2-1 Win Over Conccordia-St. Paul
The Bemidji State University women’s soccer team gained its first conference win of the season today with a victory over Concordia-St. Paul. They way they got the win was simple; they just took advantage of opportunities. Although the team only managed a total of three shots in the two halves of play, they made good on two of them to take 2-1 the win.

Oct. 20, 2002 - BSU Falls to the University of Minnesota Morris, 5-0
The Cougars offensive attack was led by Erin Mahoney who had two goals on the day. Her first, just 3:26 into the game, would give UMM the early lead and would prove to be the eventual game-winner as Morris would never trail on its way to a 5-0 shutout of Bemidji State.

Oct. 19, 2002 - Northern State Blanks Bemidji State, 3-0
Northern State came out in the second half and got on the board in the 51st minute, when Kersten Coulter would find the net on a crossing pass from Emily Clark to take the 1-0 lead. The Wolves would hold on to the lead for the rest of the game adding two more goals.

The Bemidji State University soccer team took on the University of Minnesota-Duluth today on the BSU Field. The Bulldogs out-shot the Beavers 38-1 and took their fifth straight conference victory beating the Beavers 10-0.

The Bemidji State University soccer team traveled to Crookston, Minn. to take on the UM-Crookston Golden Eagles today. The Beavers were shut out for the second straight game to drop to 3-6 overall and 0-4 in the NSIC this season.

Oct. 1, 2002- Beavers Streak to 10-0 Shutout of Wisconsin-Superior
The scoring flurry started early and occurred often for Bemidji State this afternoon at the BSU Field as freshman Lindsey Natwick (Bismarck, N.D.) knocked home two of her six goals in the first two minutes of the game to lead BSU to a 10-0 victory over Division III-member, the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Sept. 15, 2002 - BSU posts 1-1 weekend, off to best start ever
The Bemidji State University women’s soccer team is off to its best start in the seven-year history of the program. The team split this weekend on its road trip to Jamestown and Presentation, going 1-1 to bring its overall record to 2-1.

Sept. 8, 2002 - BSU downs St. Scholastica, 3-1, in Jim Stone's debut
In the 2002 season-opener, the Beavers get two goals from senior Kelly Lessman, including the game-winner in the 72nd-minute, and one from freshman Carly Napier just one minute later. Junior Niki Dalka recorded seven saves for BSU.
Sept. 5, 2002 - BSU looks to opener at St. Scholastica
The Bemidji State University women’s soccer team will open its season Sept. 8 when it travels to Duluth, Minn. to take the field against the St. Scholastica Saints. The Beavers come into the game with a 3-3 all-time mark versus the Saints, winning their last contest 3-0 (9-9-01).

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released its 2002 preseason coaches poll for women’s soccer, seeding the Beavers 12th. Bemidji State rounded out the field topped by Winona State and University of Minnesota-Duluth the 2001 NSIC post season Conference Champion and runner-up, respectively.

July 23, 2002 - Jim Stone named BSU head soccer coach
Bemidji State University director of athletics Rick Goeb today announced the hiring of Jim Stone as the university’s head women’s soccer coach. Stone’s hire continues BSU’s commitment both to its soccer program and women’s athletics, as the position is being elevated from a part-time adjunct level to full-time for the first time since the program was founded in 1996.
