Dec. 3, 2004 - Torgerson Selected to NSCAA All-Region Third Team
Sophomore goaltender Kari Torgerson has been selected to the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Central Region Third Team announced Friday. The New Hope, Minn., native is the first player in the history of the BSU soccer program to gain NSCAA All-Region honors.

Nov. 7, 2004 - Beavers Shutout in NSIC Consolation Game
Bemidji State was defeated 2-0 by Northern State University Sunday in the consolation game of the 2004 NSIC Tournament at the University of Minnesota's Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium putting and end to the most successful season in the history of BSU soccer.

Nov. 6, 2004 -BSU Falls to No. 1 Seed Winona State in NSIC Semifinal
The No. 5 Bemidji State University soccer team was shut out of its quest for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament Championship Saturday, as the No. 1 seed Winona State University used a two-goal performance from 2004 NSIC Co-Player of the Year, Amy Budish, to take the semifinal game, 2-0.

Nov. 4, 2004 - Egnell Named Third-Team Academic All-District
Junior defender Cristina Egnell has been selected to the 2004 Academic All-District V Third-Team, which is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Egnell is believed to be the first player in the history of the BSU soccer program to garner Academic All-District honors.

Four Bemidji State soccer players have been named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference 2004 All-Conference Team, announced by the league office Wednesday. The 2004 squad represents the second consecutive team to have four players garner All-Conference awards.

The Bemidji State soccer team (11-10-0, 3-4-0 NSIC) received goals from three different players en-route to a 3-0 win over Concordia-St. Paul (10-11-0, 4-3-0 NSIC) Tuesday, marking its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament win in the nine-year history of the program. Sophomores Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Whitney Sengthao (Duluth, Minn.) each tallied two points in leading the Bemidji State soccer team (10-10-0 / 3-4-0 NSIC) to a 4-0 win at Minnesota-Crookston (3-15-0, 1-6-0 NSIC) in its final regular season contest of the season Saturday. University of North Dakota (12-4-0, 3-2-1 NCC) forward Stephanie Pfeiffer netted two goals to lead the Fighting Sioux to a 3-0 win over the Bemidji State soccer team (9-10-0, 2-4-0 NSIC) in its final non-conference match of the season Wednesday. Oct. 25, 2004 - BSU Triumphs over MSU-Moorhead 3-2
On a pair of second-half goals, the Bemidji State University (9-9; 2-4 NSIC) soccer team gained its second league win keeping its play-off hopes alive. Sophomore Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) not only tied the game (2-2) with a goal in the 61st minute, she also vaulted herself to No. 1 on the BSU single-season goal scoring list with her 15th tally of the season.

Oct. 17, 2004 - BSU Downs Wayne State 2-1 for first NSIC Win of 2004
Sophomore Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) scored two goals in leading the Beavers (8-8; 1-3 NSIC) to a 2-1 NSIC victory over Wayne State College Sunday at the BSU Soccer Field. In addition to vaulting BSU to its first league win of 2004, Meinhardt also equaled the Bemidji State single-season scoring record notching her 14th marker of the season.

Oct. 16, 2004 - Beavers Come Up Short, 4-3, to SW Minnesota State
Freshman Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) recorded eight shots and two goals while junior Lindsey Natwick (Bismarck, N.D.) collected a goal, but it would not be enough to earn the Beavers' their first conference victory of the 2004 season as Southwest Minnesota State would score twice in the final 29 minutes to tie the game and eventually take the lead for a 4-3 win.

Sept. 15, 2004 - Two Schedule Changes Announced
The Bemidji State athletic department today announced BSU’s soccer game against Jamestown on Saturday, Sept. 18 originally scheduled to start at 1 p.m. will now be played at 3 p.m. at the BSU Soccer Field. In addition, the Beavers’ Oct. 24 home match against Minnesota State-Moorhead has been moved to Oct. 25 at 3:30 p.m.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference today announced Bemidji State University sophomore goalkeeper Kari Torgerson (New Hope, Minn.) has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 13-19. Torgerson is the second Beaver to earn NSIC honors this season, as sophomore Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 6-12. Monday’s announcement marks the first time that the BSU soccer program has received individual conference honors in consecutive weeks.

Behind two-point performances from sophomore Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) and sophomore Ashley Lehmeier (Sartell, Minn.), the Bemidji State soccer team earned its third consecutive victory Wednesday afternoon, beating non-conference foe Mayville State 4-0 at the BSU Soccer Field. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference today announced Bemidji State University sophomore soccer player Katie Meinhardt (Maple Grove, Minn.) has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 6-12. Meinhardt received the honor for the second time in her career, as she earned the same honor during her freshman season (Sept. 8-14, 2003).

In a week full of firsts, the Bemidji State women’s soccer team captured the first tournament title in its nine-year history with a 16-0 win over Finlandia Friday afternoon in the St. Scholastica Advantage Cup Tournament. One day after recording its first all-time victory against Minnesota-Duluth, the Beavers set a school record in goals with 16. The previous record for most goals scored in a game came on Oct. 1, 2002 when BSU tallied 10 markers in a 10-0 defeat of Wisconsin-Superior.
