Garcia played two seasons at Barton County Community College, and was named a Second Team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association her second year...She became the first women’s soccer player in BCCC history to be named an NJCAA All-American...Garcia left Barton as the most prolific scorer in school history...Amassed 28 goals, 23 assists and 79 points in her sophomore season and 21 goals and two assists in her freshman season...She scored seven goals in a game as a freshman, and her 28 goals her sophomore year and 49 for her career are all Barton records...She also has the marks for assists in a game (5), season (23) and career (25)...She was a two-time Jayhawk Conference First Team selection and was the conference player of the year in 2008.
