BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University head softball coach Paul Brunsdon today announced that the Beavers have added a double-header at Valley City State University. The games are slated for May 3 with the first pitch set for 3:00 p.m. at the Viking's Softball Complex.

The double-header will mark the first meeting between the BSU and VCSU since the Vikings defeated the Beavers, 7-6, during the 1993 season and just the fourth and fifth meetings ever. VCSU holds a 2-1 record in the all-time series.

This BSU is 4-22 overall and 2-6 in NSIC play. The team next travels to Moorhead, Minn. April 23-24 for the second and final NSIC Crossover of 2005. The Beavers are slated to play a total of four games in the tournament opening with Concordia-St. Paul and Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday and wrapping the event up with Wayne State and Winona State Sunday.
