BEMIDJI, Minn. – The forecast doesn’t look good for Friday, both for those who are yearning for spring weather to arrive and those who were wishing to see a softball game.
The BSU softball team was scheduled to play its lone home series of the season against Northern State University in a doubleheader April 25, but a pesky weather forecast that calls for rampant precipitation that includes a mixture of rain and snow is pushing back the series, the team announced today.
The games have been rescheduled for April 27, with the first pitch beginning at 12 p.m. If the BSU Softball Field is still unfit for play at that time, then the game will be pushed back until April 28, and then the 29th until the game can be played.
The Beavers are currently 4-21 on the season and 2-14 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. A sweep over the Wolves (5-31, 3-11 NSIC) would move BSU ahead of NSU and into the eighth spot in the league.
