Bemidji State loses both games against Mayville State

MAYVILLE, N.D. – The Bemidji State University softball team lost both games of a doubleheader Thursday against Mayville State.

The Beavers dropped the first game by a score of 8-6, and the offense was stagnant in Game Two as BSU fell 9-1.

Amy Klaers (Jr., Elk River, Minn.) went 3-for-3 in the first game of the series, but she was the only Beaver who performed well at the plate.

Allison Willard (Jr., Hutchinson, Minn.) pitched for BSU in the first game, earning the loss. before being relieved by Jamie Lund (Fr., Grantsburn, Wisc.).

Kristen Paine (Sr., Chisholm, Minn.) started the second game at pitcher, also earning the loss. Lund again came on in relief duty.

BSU (1-11, 0-5 NSIC) returns to action Friday with a doubleheader against the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D.
