Sheila Hoberg (Jr., Bismarck, N.D.) was a constant for BSU this season and a major factor in the Beavers' impressive turnaround in 2008. She held down the No. 4 singles spot and partnered with 2008 NSIC MVP Kali Welu (Sr., Pequot Lakes, Minn.) at No. 1 singles.
