Beavers take to the road to face College of St. Benedict
Bemidji State prepares for first road contest of the season

February 7, 2008

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University tennis team will face their first good test this weekend as it is set to face off against the College of St. Benedicts Blazers Sunday at Gold’s Gym in St. Cloud, Minn. at 7 p.m.

Although the Beavers lost 7-0 to future NCAA Division I opponent University of North Dakota in their first contest of the season, the team showed play that was superior to that of last seasons. Their hope is that this will equate into victories as the season progresses.

The Blazers start their season this Sunday as they face fellow Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponent Minnesota State University Moorhead at 4:00 p.m. followed by their meet with the Bemidji State.

The road meet is the first of 14 scheduled on the 22 match 2008 season for the Beavers.
