Beavers host pair against Minnesota Duluth and St. Scholastica
Beavers return to action after two weeks off

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University Tennis team returns to action after a two week hiatus this weekend as they host the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs Saturday and conclude their weekend against the College of St. Scholastica Saints on Sunday.

The Beavers were last in action on February 2nd when they were defeated by the University of North Dakota 9-0. They were scheduled to face off against the College of St. Benedict on February 10th but the match was cancelled due to weather.

Bemidji State and the Bulldogs last met on March 25th, 2007 which saw the Bulldogs come away with a 9-0 win. The last meeting between the two teams at the Gillett Recreation and Fitness center saw Julie Kapsner (Pierz, Minn.) pick up the lone Beaver point as she defeated the Bulldogs Andrea Mock 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 4 singles spot. Saturdays match is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Sundays match against the Saints is schedule for noon. St. Scholastica last played the Beavers on March 24, 2007 which resulted in a Saints 9-0 victory.

Bemidji State is 0-1 (0-0; NSIC) on the season and will start Northern Sun Intercollegiate conference play on the 2nd of March as they host the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs.
