Senior thrower Joe Remitz (North Branch, Minn.) completed his collegiate career as the best in the biz. Remitz became the 22nd student-athlete in BSU history to capture an individual national title May 23 with a shot put mark of 63-02.00 at the NCAA Division II Championships in Pamona, Calif. His championship throw also surpassed his own school record by nearly 20 inches.

The sophomore suffered a hamstring injury during the first event of the day and after sticking it out through two more events, has, along with BSU head track and field coach Craig Hougen, decided to withdraw from competition to prevent further injury.
