At the 2003 North Central Regional Championships today, the Bemidji State cross country team placed 25th behind the 88th-place finish of sophomore Christa Pribula. Pribula ran the 6K course in 24:23.40.

Oct. 25, 2003 - Bemidji State Takes Fifth at NSIC Championships
At the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Minnesota-Duluth, the Bemidji State cross country program placed fifth with 122 points. The Beavers were led by All-NSIC performer, sophomore Christa Pribula, who took fourth overall with a time of 23:34.6.

Oct. 3, 2003 - Christa Pribula dominates MSU-Moorhead Invite
Bemidji State sophomore Christa Pribula posted a dominant victory today the Minnesota State-Moorhead cross country invitational, winning the event with a time of 19:39.09 - nearly 20 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

Sept. 8, 2003 - Cross Country Opens With Maple Ridge Run
On Saturday at the Maple Ridge Run, host Bemidji State was led by the fifth-place finish of Christa Pribula (20:30.01). Jaclyn Thomforde followed in 15th place with a mark of 21:38.27. Veronica Sackett from the University of North Dakota took the individual title with a time of 19:53.71. There were no team results recorded.

Yesterday at the North Dakota State Invitational, Bemidji State senior Josie Muzquiz took sixth in the 800m and seventh in the 1,500m while sophomore Steve Schreiber, with a vault of 6’8 1/2”, was crowned champion in the high jump. Schreiber has taken first or second in all five invites this spring season - including a BSU record jump of 6'9 1/2" at the Duncan Invite (4/13).

Bemidji State junior Caesare Stimson came from behind to win the heptathlon title at the 2003 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Multi-event meet, hosted by Northern State, today and yesterday. Sophomores Travis Schwarz and Ben Mettling took eighth and ninth, respectively, in the decathlon event.

April 27, 2003 - Beaver men take fourth, women fifth at Al Cassell Invite on Saturday
Propelled by the first-place finishes by Jeremy Dinius in the long jump, Kevin Heltemes in the 10,000m and Steve Schreiber in the high jump and the second-place finish by the women's 4x100m relay squad, the Bemidji State men took fourth while the BSU women placed fifth at the Al Cassell Invite Saturday. The meet was hosted by Jamestown College.

April 23, 2003 - Both squads compete at Cobber Twilight
Powered by the two first-place finishes by senior Steve Leuer (800m & 1,500m), the Bemidji State men took fourth at the Cobber Twilight on Tuesday. The women placed seventh overall as a team with top individual honors going to senior Martha Miltich in the 5,000m and junior Caesare Stimson in the high jump.

Bemidji State outdoor track turned in a strong performance at the 57th Annual Jim Duncan Invitational, winning four events and earning seven second-place finishes.

The Bemidji State track team will not be in action this weekend. The team was scheduled to participate in this weekend's Hamline Invite. in St. Paul, Minn., but the meet has been cancelled due to inclimate weather. The team will be back in action April 12th, when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the Jim Duncan Invite. the team will then travel to Collegeville, Minn. for the St. John's Multi. April 13-14.

Grand Forks, Minn.) paced the Beavers to a third-place finish as she took ninth overall at the 2002 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s Championships. BSU trailed Minnesota-Duluth (26), Winona State (76) as it notched 108 team points. UM-Duluth has now won the last 11 cross country team titles.
