WAYNE, NEB. -- At the 2003 North Central Regional Championships
today, the Bemidji State cross country team placed 25th
behind the 88th-place finish of sophomore Christa
Pribula.
Pribula ran the 6K course in 24:23.40.
With her first-place team finish, Pribula now has taken first on the squad in
all five invites in 2003. The East Grand Forks, Minn., is coming off a fourth-place
finish at the 2003 NSIC Championships, which gave her consecutive all-conference
honors.
The top five BSU runners, which accounted for the team score, were Pribula, sophomore
Jaclyn Thomforde in 137th (26:10.94), freshman Ali Judkins in 144th (26:29.76),
junior Katie Dippel in 155th (27:10.82) and senior Jami
Peterson in 163rd (28:14.76).
Adams State of Colorado placed first in the field as six of its runners finished
in the top-seven. Alisha Williams from Western State (Colo.) won the individual
title with a time of 20:47.94.
