Oct. 22, 2005 - BSU competed in the NSIC championships held in Moorhead, Minn.
The Bemidji State cross country team traveled to Moorhead, Minn. to compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship held at the Ponderosa golf course. Six teams competed in the meet, BSU ended the day in fifth place with a total score of 103. The host team the Minnesota State University, Moorhead came away with the team championship with a score of 50.

Sept. 24, 2005 - Bemidji State runs in twenty-four team meet
Bemidji State traveled to Minneapolis to compete in the Roy Griak Invite which featured 24 NCAA Division II schools. The meet was held at the Les Bolstad Golf Course put on by the University of Minnesota. Bemidji State finished in twenty first place with a team score of 582 and an average team time of 26:19 in the 5K race. Bemidji State finished second among Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams, finshing behind Concordia St. Paul. The University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse finished in first place with a total team score of 60.

The Bemidji State cross country team traveled to Grand Forks, N.D. to compete in the Ron Pynn Invatational held at the Ray Richards University golf course. Six teams competed in the meet, BSU ended the day in fifth place with a total score of 128. The University of North Dakota took first place with a score of 24.

The Bemidji State’s cross country squad competed in its first meet of the season on Friday afternoon, running in the Dragon Open held at the Ponderosa Golf Course. BSU ran against some tough competition in Division I opponents South Dakota State and North Dakota State.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opened its outdoor championships in Aberdeen, S.D., on Sunday and Monday with the heptathlon and the decathlon. Ben Mettling (Pine City, Minn.) finished in fourth place overall with 5063 points in the decathlon while Nicole Friend (International Falls, Minn.) grabbed herself a fifth place finish with 3868 points in the heptathlon.

Sophomore Jonathon Hawks (Gainsville, Ga.) has been named the Male Track Athlete of the Week in an announcement that came from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference office on Tuesday. Hawks time in the 100-meter dash (10.90) at the Jim Duncan Invite in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday moved is the fastest time in the conference this season.

April 12, 2005 - Spolarich ties high jump school record at St. Johns Multi
Freshman Ashley Spolarich (Maple Lake, Minn.) tied the school record mark of 5-8 1/2 in the high jump, finishing sixth in the heptathlon at the St. Johns Multi in Collegeville, Minn. Spolarich, along with four other members of the Bemidji State track and field team competed in the two-day event on Sunday and Monday. Spolarich finished sixth in the heptathlon behind teammate, sophomore Nicole Friend (International Falls, Minn.) who edged out Spolarich by just 69 points in the final standings.

April 11, 2005 - Throwing trio grabs six top-10 finishes
The Bemidji State men’s track and field team has seen a lot of success from the trio of junior Adam Wilson (Forest Lake, Minn.), sophomore R.J. April 2, 2005 - BSU Opens Outdoor Season with 17 Titles at Trojan Open
The Bemidji State University men's and women's track and field teams captured 17 first-place finishes in Saturday's 37-event meet hosted by Dakota State University. The women's team was led by Nicole Friend (International Falls, Minn.) who gained titles in the 400-meter dash (1:00.72) and long jump (16-02.50) while Todd Zeidler (Plentywood, Mont.) took first in both the javelin (164-06) and the 800-meter run while running the third leg of the championship 1600-meter relay.

May 8, 2004 - Schreiber defends high jump title at NSIC meet
Steve Schreiber successfully defended his high jump crown Saturday afternoon at the 2004 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Schreiber cleared 6-7, besting his nearest rival by two inches and joining Caesare Stimson as the only two Bemidji State athletes to win individual events at the championship meet. Including the indoor season, Schreiber has now won four consecutive NSIC high jump titles.

Christa Pribula posted the highest individual finish for Bemidji State after the first day of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Duluth, Minn. In Day 1 of the 2004 NSIC Women's Heptathlon, Caesare Stimson is a mere 68 points behind leader Katie Anderson from Northern State. Shelby McCrady stands 10th with 2,148 points while Nicole Friend sits 12th with 2,038 points. In the NSIC Men's Decathlon, Travis Schwarz sees himself in sixth-place after Day 1. Ben Mettling comes in at the tenth-spot.

Bemidji State’s outdoor track and field team earned wins in five individual events and one relay at the NDSU Open on Tuesday night. Nicole Friend battled gusty winds, but still managed to sprint to victories in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. Competing in just her second meet as a Beaver, the victories are the first of Friend’s career.

Bemidji State's 2004 outdoor track and field season begins on April 3 at the Hamline Invite in Minneapolis, Minn. The team will then participate in the St. John's Multi in Collegeville, Minn. on April 4-5 before returning to Bemidji.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced Monday that four Bemidji State athletes have been named to its all-conference team. The honorees include Mitch Cooper, Shelby McCrady, Steve Schreiber and Adam Wilson.

The Bemidji State men's track and field team was in second place after Friday, but a subpar Saturday dropped them to a disappointing fourth-place finish. After a slow start on Thursday and Friday, the women failed to build up any momentum and wound up finishing seventh.
