ST. PAUL, Minn. - As the Bemidji State University

her indoor success with a win in the shot put that provisionally
qualified her for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

qualifying mark and was 1 foot, 7 inches, better than the
rest of the competition.
Along with her win in the shot put, Devine also walked away
with a fifth place finish in the discus (110-11) and a sixth

taking part in on Sunday and Monday, Friend garnered a second

with their respective heights of 10-0, 10-0 and 9-0.
On the track, the women were led by Leah Grabil, Christa Pribula
and Shelby Hougen in the outdoor opener.
Grabil led the way on the short track collecting fourth place
finishes in both the 100-meter dash (13.00) and the 200-meter
dash (26.17). BSU's M'Kelle Tomberlin and Breanna Woinarowicz
also had strong finishes coming in behind Grabil. In the 100-meter

their respective times of 27.75 and 27.82.
To go along with her performance on the track, Tomberlin also
added an eighth place finish in the long jump with her distance

In the mid-distance and distance events, BSU turned to Pribula,
one of just two seniors on the women's roster. Pribula finished

earned her a third place finish in the event in which she
currently holds the school record. She also competed in the
800-meter run, turning in a time of 2:31.66 for a 14th place
finish. In the event, Pribula was trailed closely by teammate
