JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Bemidji State traveled to Jamestown, N.D. to compete in the Jimmie Invitational which featured 5 schools. The meet was held at the Hillcrest Golf Course put on by Jamestown College. Bemidji State finished in fifth place with a team score of 106 and an average team time of 22:31 in the 5K race. The top team was a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponent in the Minnesota State University Moorhead who finished with a average team time of 21:09.

The Beavers were lead by senior Nicole Friend (International Falls, Minn.) who finished in 14th-place overall with a time of 21:20. Junior Jillian Schuster (Browntown, Minn.) was close behind finishing in 18th-place with a time of 22:01. Freshman Genna Ironi (Sauk Center, Minn.) was close behind Schuster finishing in 19th-place with a time of 22:08.

The next event for the Beavers will be on Oct. 7 when they will compete in the Homecoming Run put on by Bemidji State. The run is slated to start at 9:00 a.m. The next offical meet for the Beavers will be on Oct. 21 when the Beavers will compete in the NSIC Championships held in St. Paul, Minn. The conference championship is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
