MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Bemidji State University cross country team finished in 26th place at the 22nd annual Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Beavers finished with a team score of 700 and an average time of 26:38 in the 30 team race. The Augustana College Vikings took first in the event with a score of 69. Minnesota State University Moorhead was the top Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference team in the race as they finished in 7th place.
The team was led by freshman Staci Letourneau (White Bear Lake, Minn.) who finshed in 74th out of the field of 283 with a time of 24:54. Brittany Becker (Grand Rapids, Minn.) was the second across the finish line for the Beavers as she finished in 125th place with a time of 25:55.
The cross country team will next compete on the 5th of October as they travel to Jamestown, N.D. to compete in the Jimmie Invite, hosted by Jamestown College. |
